I have been wondering about Rule 18.2 and proper course. <BR/>If two boats approach a mark on a reach and there is a collision, then chances are that at the protest table the inside boat will insist that she sailed her proper course but wasn't given enough room and the outside boat will be certain that she gave the inside boat enough room to sail to the mark.<BR/>These boats were so far ahead that there are no witnesses.
